Selmer has a website that has contact info. Search Selmer and choose the .Fr link. Some creative thinking outside the box would help you. For example, if I were looking for engraving I'd check any metal engraver near my location and not confine myself to a particular piece made out of metal. You might find an engraver who has never had the opportunity of applying their engraving skill to a saxophone and as a result be excited about doing so. :cool: Good luck.

yes, this is what I have been doing.. but after contacting Paraschos (the one who makes wooden necks) who is generally into engravings, he told me to be really carefull and that the engraving of brass instruments (in the way we are used to see them) is indeed very rare and requires a whole different technique to the one used by other engravers . The chance of a damage (which is serious in the case of an unexperinced engraver) is something I wouldn't like to happen if I choose to have a very special vintage item (this is the case) engraved.. They only person he knew (living in Greece) practicing this technique was a guy from Persia who engraved traditional instruments, but unfortunately he is out of practice anymore. I want a classic style sax engraving, if I am not able to get one then I might turn to other engravers ...
thanx for the info!
Nikolas :)

Italian saxophone factories make some wonderfull hand made engravings on their instruments.
Try to contact them asking for a quotation.

Just a thought. Send a PM to Rick Adams. He's been dealing with a saxophone manufacturer in Taiwan that hand engrave their own horns superbly. If I remember right, they also offer this as a service. I saw one of their Ebay Ads and as Rick has dealt/is dealing with them, we can summise they are kosher.

I know it's not Europe, but as you are not getting much joy, it may be worth a shot.

I will probably try to contact both borgani and rampone through Paraschos whos is a dealer of their horns..
@russ:
thanx for the tip, I will surely contact him. i didn't know they offered this option.
But it is a fact that if I send my sax out of Europe I will probably send it to DuMars, I like his work a lot..
