Hello!
I wonder if anyone have or had this problem!
When I blow with more power or practice long tones,I sometimes start to
cough! It's the same when I sing too!It started this summer and it,s disturbs me alot!I quit smoking back in 1996 so thats not my problem!
I'm not shure if it,s my lungs or my throat!I live in a department above a
a woman who smokes around the clock+ alot of people with house's in the
neighbourhood fire with wood to heaten there house's and the smoke sneaks
in to me!Sometimes I feel that after eating or drinking,it get worse!
But I will see my doctor soon, and check it out!

I have no medical background but I have experienced this. Could be Asthma and allergy related. Definitely visit the doctor he will test your exhale with a peak flow meter. If this is the cause, the condition is easily controlled. There are great medications available. Advair has changed my life. It will make your playing more comfortable. Exercise will also help..... if my guess is right.

Excellent advice from Steve J. I have had similar difficulties which are well controlled with appropriate medication. Get thee hence to your MD and get checked out.
