For any collectors of 19th Century horns on this board...

From time to time, I glance at the Couesnon listings, mostly for the clarinets & the brasswinds & the occasional Couesnon-Triebert double reeds, and I have NEVER seen anything which looked even remotely like this horn.

I googled a little, and couldn't find much about Gautrot's history with the saxophone [other than Gautrot having been part of the lawsuit against Adolphe Sax].

According to Horn-u-copia, Couesnon purchased Gautrot in 1883.
