I'd like to invite everyone who is interested to check out the new book Constructing Melodic Jazz Improvisation. and visit www.jazzpath.com. The book is designed specifically for beginning and intermediate level improvisers. I've been working on this book since 2003 and I'm thrilled that it's finally available.

The book consists of 10 progressive chapters that explore style elements, a variety of melodic phrasing techniques, solo development, the use of motifs, and the concept of creative intent in improvisation. It's not the typical "here are the scales, practice technique. and now go improvise..." approach. And it works.

The book also come with a completely swinging 52 track play-a-long and demo cd featuring top musicians like Paul Schmeling, Whit Browne, Jim Lattini, Daniel Ian Smith, Jeff Galindo, and Trent Austin.

I hope you'll take a look.
Best,
Brian Kane
