Greeting Friends

I was just given a Conn Tenor Saxophone with the serial number of 924213 and the lettering 16M stamped above the serial number. Can anyone tell me any information about it? What is the value? I was thinking about having it re-lacquered, because much of the lacquer is worn off. What are your thoughts?

Thanks

Use the search button and you will find serial numbers listed here there and on saxgourmet site.

Don't relacquer a vintage horn unless you want to lower its value.

Play it and enjoy. Relacquering costs more than the horn is worth. These make great "outdoor" horns for pros. They play OK and sound better than a lot of newer horns.
