Hi everybody,

I need your help to approximate the market value of this Conn. Europe vs. US value would be interesting - I assume it's different. Pads are in good condition and it has a small dent near the strap hook. Is it relacquered
How much would you pay for it?

Thank you!

The lacquer is not original. Lacquer was not an available finish option in 1921 when it was made.
I will leave the value question to others who are more knowledgeable in this regard.

Ebay won auction places them roughly between 500 and 1200 euros, with outliers.
As an European, I'd pay up to 800 if I can try it beforehand, and 500 if I can't. Others may be willing to shell out more, but the lacquer hurts the cool factor a little.

I dont really think lacquer on these really old horns hurts much.

Mostly because most of them were later treated as such.

The ones that were not probably have extra holes in them from a century of red rot.
