I've been exploring a Conn New Wonder tenor I recently recieved, I say exploring because of all the keywork modifications this thing has. I'm finding something new every day... and today I found a small neck insert about a centimeter long which has been soldered on the inside of the tip of the neck. Would this be to correct intonation/response problems?

Thanks,
-Scott

Hey Scott,

Are we talking true modifications, or repair work? If it is the former, how about posting some photos of the particulars for us to examine?

Some of the pro tech membership might be able to shed some light on the "how and why" of these modifications.

Plus, it will be interesting for the rest of us! :D

Alright, there are only two that are really worth mentioning, this neck insert and an extra body octave vent. Pictures late tonight.
