Hello to all,

I recently acquired a Conn Curved Soprano Saxophone and I'm unable to bring it to my mouth level with any of my neck straps.
I have searched around the online stores and this forum and there is nothing about the right neck strap for my soprano. :(
How do other Conn Curved Soprano owners solve this issue?
I'm attaching a photo for illustration purposes:

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Regards,

I used an old, short Ray Hyman strap with my curved soprano (Yany, not Conn). By pushing the slider up to near-choking position, I can get it to work. I do find that when I use my extra SC992 neck (more strongly curved) instead of the original SC901 neck, I have to shorten the strap even more. That's probably your problem: your Conn has a highly curved neck, requiring an extremely short strap.

The Cebulla neck strap is available in a special curved-soprano length. I use a Cebulla strap on alto/tenor, but I haven't tried the curved-soprano version yet.

What you need is a strap that goes around your neck and fastens with a buckle, rather than a yoke type with a slider. Look for a bass clarinet strap from Belmonte. You can take one of the two hooks off, shorten it way up, and punch new holes where you need them. A narrow women's belt, with a hook from the hardware store, would work too.

I just bought a curvy and there was a NeoTec strap with it. Fits perfectly.

I made 2 curvy straps out of the shoulder strap to an old travel wallet (nylon webbing about 3/8" wide). The strap came with plastic hooks on either end that were sturdy enough to hold the ±2 lb weight of a curvy, plus small metal D-rings to adjust length.

I cut the strap into 2 equal lengths, threaded each thru a pair of D-rings and a hook, and folded over and stitched the cut ends to keep them from slipping out. 10 years plus later, I'm still using these straps.
