i'm not familiar with the 280, but the 787 i've seen seems like a really solid horn. since these horns sell for less than what you might pay for service, i would think the most important thing would be the playing condition. have you checked the for sale items here, seems like i saw one at a really low price.

well, US sales are generally cheaper but then you get hit by VAT .

I have no idea how much your budget is and why you are focussed on this particular two horns.

Jupiters are good horns and resell very badly because the entire brand ( regardless of the fact that they have a superlative Artist series) gets to be judged on the base of the cheapest of their horns which the produced long ago (much improved in the meantime).

If it was my money...I’d probably spend it in a different way.

But if you really want one of these and they cost the same, the 280 seems to be in a slightly higher class.
