Hi everyone,

I have a doubt about the year of construction of this baritone sax, a Conn 12M with serial number 342359. I attach the 12M serial number photo.
I need help from the Conn experts.
Thanks
best regards
Enrico

I think this is a pretty “ new” horn when Conn started re-using serial numbers without any prefix.

I don't understand the meaning of the letter E....
It means Eb as in Eb baritone.

At differernt times Conn stamped either the key of the instrument or its name initial as follows:

Soprano: S, C, or B
Alto: A or E
Tenor: T or B
Baritone: E or B

I have had some stamped with the name initial and some with the key initial. Someone here probably knows the exact chronology.
