Hey everyone,

Back in the day when we still burned CDs, my high school conductor made me a compilation of stuff that he thought I'd be in to. There's a piece I have in mind that I want to order for my community band that I conduct now. I was never able to get that information since he ended up suddenly passing away shortly after.

Here's the crummy part...all I remember about this overture is that its overall an Egyptian themed piece and opens up with a haunting Alto solo before the first Allegro section. Theres a climatic part where the melody leads you to believe the piece is over, but it's just a trick as it continues. Difficulty wise, it's at least a 3.5.

I know this is a long shot, but I'm hoping someone knows what the name of this piece is. Sorry i dont have any more info.
