Musicians never turn down Buffets.
You're on the wrong thread -- the Ziti line starts about a block and a half south of here.

Logically it seems to me that either this is a recovery of a part of jazz history somehow lost to us (somehow I doubt it), or it's another example of the vagaries of corporate sponsorship. But there is the document: maybe somebody here knows what it means.

I bought a copy of the same ad some time ago because I am a player of Buffet SDA alto tenor saxes. My ad shows in the lower left hand corner, a photo of Frank Wright playing "The Martin Alto". Jackie Mclean did play a Buffet SDA during the mid 1960's (I have a few CD covers which shows him playing one), but he also played Mark IVs (Can't tell what horn he's pictured with). It was brought up in another thread that no one is aware of Coltrane ever playing saxes other than Selmer SBAs or Mark IVs. Maybe the ad should be entitled "Buffet Ad with Artist Playing Selmers! (LOL!!)

Albert Ayler did play Buffet saxes. On one of his 60's albums, (Live in Greenwich Village) it mentions that he plays Buffet saxes.

Oh. I'm in the wrong thread. I though you had a uTube film of Coltrane playing "Cheesburger in Paradise". :D

You and Martysax are always on the same wavelength. Get thee over to the Ziti thread, sir.
Can't. Somebody dropped a tube of Clearasil on it and now it's not there anymore.
