Hi everybody,
at the risk of creating yet another thread that goes wildly off-topic (I have read the thread "....greeen pads..."):
I am rebuilding a vintage silver-plated Dolnet tenor. I understand many of them were turned out with red pads. Not sure if I like red, but my silver plate Hohner President has green pads which I find looks great.
Can anybody tell me where I can get coloured pads?
And would coloured pads have any disadvantages (other than looking weird, as some of you might argue...)? More prone to sticking/hardening etc?
How about buying white pads and dying them? Can you recommend any products to do this?
Cheers Wilfried
