Cleaning the fiddly bits

1225 Views 4 Replies 4 Participants Last post by  Lodger
I started playing last December and got a new alto. I look after it, keeping it in its case and wiping off any marks etc. I recently I looked much closer at the complicated metalwork and saw build-ups of dustballs in the least accessible parts.

How do other people keep them dust free and clean without risking knocking off any of the cork pads? I have already had to replace one cork buffer which I dislodged when cleaning the G# pad.
