It's really easy.
All you do is play G, b, c c# d(with the side d key)while trilling the side high E key with the right hand with your thumb or side of hand. Also with octave key for higher version.
This is commonly referred to as the "Cannonball trill" used on a billion of his greatest albums, but he is not the first who did it, (listen to Sonny Stitt, Gene Ammons, Jimmy Forest, or even Bird) and of course Eddie Cleanhead Vinson.
