Does anyone know if Classic Saxophone Online ( is "in business"?
I ordered a Vandoren Reed Resurfacer & Reed Stick from them 9/4/2007. It was payed the same day. And I got an order confirmation. But I haven´t got anything yet. I have send 3 emails and left a message on their phone answering machine, but gets no answer.

Keep Your Money in Your Pocket

I bought a new Keilwerth Shadow Tenor from them. I spoke to the proprietor, Robert (Bob) Haley, on the phone. I asked if he would set up the horn. He agreed, said that his tech would set up the horn, and asked for an extra day to ship it. I said sure. It arrived in barely playable condition with four glaringly obvious leaks and an improperly assembled set of middle spatula keys.

I wound up having to pay for a set up myself. Granted, personal input can be an important part of the interaction with a tech, but this horn was not even in playable condition as shipped. I love the horn, but I won't buy from them again.
