Hi
I am in search of a new clarinet AND a new clarinet mouthpiece (I really don't get along with either of mine -resulting in me not having played clarinet for about 2 years!)
I am not sure what I should do?
-Should I try new clarinets out, using my current mouthpiece (but I can hardly play on my mouthpiece)
OR
-Should I first try new mouthpieces on my current clarinet (but I really don't get along with my clarinet)
OR
-Should I just try lots of new clarinets out using a different, standard mouthpiece (probably a vandoren mpc which comes with one of the clarinets) until I find a clarinet which I like, and then decide on a mouthpiece later on?

sorry for the strange question but I would appreciate some help :):)

How long ago, if ever, was your clarinet last serviced?
What you have listed in your profile is a very 'user friendly' combination.
If you don't 'get along' with your current set up in proper adjustment what makes you feel that something else would be better?

Get the clarinet fixed and then find a mouthpiece you like. Less expensive that way. Mouthpieces make a huge difference, and you may find you like your clarinet after all. If not, THEN look for a new horn. You only want to change one parameter at a time.
