Actually some of the large churches around Memphis TN, AK, TX have some "upbeat" bands. But they are more formal. I agree with rleitch, this bands "got tha beat". They really look like they are having a good time! Good for them!

Without wishing to be captious, but apart from the fact that the guitarist is a minister and where they're playing I don't see this as having anything to do with church.
For all I know, Kiss probably rehearsed in a church hall.

If you find a video of Kiss rehearsing in a church with a sax player, by all means post it!Without wishing to be captious, but apart from the fact that the guitarist is a minister and where they're playing I don't see this as having anything to do with church.

I'd MUCH rather listen to this in "church" than someone with no apparent talent that claims a "calling".
Some would say "Whatever the spirit moves you to play" is appropriate.
Does everything "churchy" have to be somber and dark?
What would Oliver Cromwell play?

My point was that it was just music. It would be the same and it would be good music if it was played anywhere. Church doesn't come into it.
Now why don't you tell us where you pulled your insults from?
