Actually some of the large churches around Memphis TN, AK, TX have some "upbeat" bands. But they are more formal. I agree with rleitch, this bands "got tha beat". They really look like they are having a good time! Good for them!Man...I DO NOT remember anything sounding like this in church!
Yeah! Let's hope he doesn't start thinking about how to hold it!Is Jesse playing a Super 20? I'm guessing he's been playing a while.
That's good stuff!
If you find a video of Kiss rehearsing in a church with a sax player, by all means post it!Without wishing to be captious, but apart from the fact that the guitarist is a minister and where they're playing I don't see this as having anything to do with church.
For all I know, Kiss probably rehearsed in a church hall.
I didn't know that you had the final say on what is appropriate to "church".Without wishing to be captious, but apart from the fact that the guitarist is a minister and where they're playing I don't see this as having anything to do with church.![]()
Probably not the fuming incense stencher. What would Oliver Cromwell play?
What on earth are you talking about, Dr G?I didn't know that you had the final say on what is appropriate to "church".
I'd MUCH rather listen to this in "church" than someone with no apparent talent that claims a "calling".
Some would say "Whatever the spirit moves you to play" is appropriate.
Does everything "churchy" have to be somber and dark?
What would Oliver Cromwell play?
Then please ignore what I wrote and tell us what you meant. Why does this music have nothing to do with church? What on earth are you talking about, Dr G?
That is probably the most flagrant and willful misreading I have ever received on this board.
Cheers!
No...I doubt his tastes would be that...er...CatholicProbably not the fuming incense stencher.
Whew! Here's John Hagee - Pastor of Cornerstone Church in San Antonio showing he still has a few chops! John Hagee Sax Tape
My point was that it was just music. It would be the same and it would be good music if it was played anywhere. Church doesn't come into it.Then please ignore what I wrote and tell us what you meant. Why does this music have nothing to do with church?
No sense of irony Rooty old chap!! I get it--got it.What on earth are you talking about, Dr G?
That is probably the most flagrant and willful misreading I have ever received on this board.
Cheers!
