I had a very successful gig with my new setup and a ton of backing tracks. I landed a great new gig for a Christmas party. I need to find some good smooth jazz style Christmas backing tracks and sheet music. There is a small selection at smoothjazztracks.com but I need enough to fill a 3 hour gig along iwht my regular material.

Any suggestions?

patseguin,

Sounds fun. I saw the same little bit that you found. Not a ton of stuff out there. I would also say that a few things are ok to play without any back up. Maybe a nice solo version of "I'll be home for Chrstmas." I don't think anybody would object to a nice, personal rendition of that since it is such a heart felt song.

Good luck!

you can also search for midi files, which is what BIAB will handle anyway. I use Linda's midi search, the ones that come up with the highest bit count are usually the best, or at least most complex arrangements. Import into BIAB and mess around with them.

I bought a bunch from smoothjazzbackingtracks.com and a few from karaoke-version.com

I did buy BIAB but it's pretty daunting and I haven't had a chance to read the manual yet and figure it out.
