Been really digging the practice sessions that Chick has been broadcasting daily from his Facebook page. I'm grateful that we have an opportunity to hear such a master live on a daily basis during these crazy times.

Been watching these, amazing, last night ... round midnight... sublime
Yeah, Round Midnight was truly sublime. I also loved watching him work out the Horace Silver tune St. Vitus Dance, which he was playing for the first time.

I'm no performer nor in the music bizz...

But, seems to me, those folks doing streamed performance and such, are hugely appreciated by the general public. It's not just generous, but feels very personal. It'll be interesting to see if that keeps traction after the crisis - lots of musicians with brand new fans?

Been checking out Chick's sessions every day for the past 25 days. Such a gift. And each night, he finds a different way to play Spain to wrap up the practice. Go to his FB page and check them out if you haven't.

Have you been following Makoto Ozone, too? He is performing nightly from Japan (about 8am EDT) via Facebook.

Amazing players and composers.
I was aware that he was doing this through some comments on Chick's FB page, but haven't had a chance. I will check it out.
