Hey people's,

I started a band with some buddies of mine. It's a funk/rock/jazz group...kinda. Anyway, the group is really fun. No charts, everything made up on the spot. Give it a listen if you got the time. Let me know what ya think. Criticism is appreciated.

Nice energy. Funky. Tight band.

Drummer is a little heavy on cymbal crashes...

Yes, really... Obviously we agreed about what to play for the recording. Live is a different story. However, we have things we like to do. Things are repeated. Just like 'improvisation.'

You wouldn't pee on my leg and tell me it's raining would you. Those horn parts, most all that stuff was rehearsed and you and I both know it. Has the term "improv" gone politically correct to encompass/mean anything you want it to mean? Have fun.

I'm not telling you that we didn't rehearse those parts. It was a recording of course we went over it. I don't know what your problem is, really. I just mentioned alot of the set was improvised.

Also, you'd honestly tell me that whenever you solo that it's truly improvised? Nothing you practice is in there? I'd say a good majority of what you practice is what you 'improvise'. Just like everyone else you're going to repeat things you've played a thousand times.

Thanks for your efforts as SOTW detective though. Now that you've got this case cracked maybe the internet is safe.

Thanks for your efforts...really

That's cool and you're welcome...
You said "No charts, everything made up on the spot" and I hear otherwise..... It kinda insults the intelligence.

well, a lie wasn't my intention...I was just telling you how we played. We prepared enough to do a recording and that's that. Come see us play. It's fun. More fun than attacking people on a forum board that's generally been very helpful to me.

However, I'm done with this. Find another great mystery to investigate.

Thanks SOTW, you've been great.

I was thinking same thing. Having said that it sounds pretty cool, sort of reminds me of Liquid Soul.
