Ok, there are some threads about this but a little different...

I want o hear opinions about guys - Tenor Jazz bop/free Players - that changed you MK vi for a reference!! yeah "what a crazy thing!!" :mrgreen:


Who doesn't regret? who want to make some advices?

SaxT, I forgot to answer you question on the vibration...absolutely! I feel it much more now because the 54 is nearly perfectly in tune. The horn rings.

I think I read somewhere in the Forum that Matt Otto sold his Mark VI and bought a yamaha 82Z.

The reason Matt switched was the ergonomics of the SBA and VI were not working for his hands and wrists. The Yamaha was giving him a lot of relief. Otherwise I don't thin he would have switched.

Sold my BA tenor for more than I paid for my ref 36. A no brainer. I am totally pleased with the ref 36 after very careful comparing: It has better intonation, ergs and overall sound which fits perfectly with my preference for warm tenor style.
