Hi,
I am a sometime lurker on the Board. I am a clarinet/saxophone player with a question about a piece for alto. One of my students is playing the Chailloux Andante & Allegro edited by Voxman. There is a figure in the Allegro which I am not sure how to interpret. It's in 6/8, is a typical figure of 3 eighth notes, but interspersed with sixteenth notes. The stems of the eighth notes are going up - but the stems of the sixteenth notes are going down, as they would be in a divisi part. Are all notes supposed to be played? Are the sixteenth notes optional?
Can anyone recommend a recording of the piece? Thanks,
Sue
