Ok, so I just Got a 57 vintage Conn.
It needs a new case, because it looks like a bear... I mean a Dog has been chewing on it.
The thing is;
The horn has the bell keys on its left side, whereas most contemporary horns have the bell keys on the right side.
Any suggestions?
btw This Horn means alot to me, (I waited over 2 years for a horn like this.)
so I need a case that is tighter than U.S. national security.
Just as an overexaggerated metaphor,

I bought a Walt Johnson case for a 49 Conn I used to own. Walt emailed me what horn I wanted it for and he put a lining in it for it. I bought it from WWBW.

I use a BAM original case for my 1949 Buescher 400 TH&C. The side keys on my horn stick out quite drastically (not as much as bell keys would), but the the inside foamish stuff has some give to it has molded to the horn over time. Just pressing on it, you can feel the elasticity and the firmness and quality of material. I'm sure that the bell keys wouldn't be an issue.

I'd phone up BAM and ask them. Or phone up Walt Johnson or whatever.
You'll get the answers you need fastest from them.

I'm sure some one else will tell you more about BAM cases and the bell keys, but here's my vouch for the quality!

I have my vintage altos and sopranos in ProTec cases. Split-bell pads, left-side bell-pads, right-side bell pads - no matter. My TH&C alto is in a Cannonball case (for the larger bells of the "big bell" CBs) which are much like ProTecs. DAVE

I had a contoured Protec for the '37 10M I owned a few years back. If nothing else, the Protec cases will fit nearly anything.

Hi !

Sorry for the small bump. I was just wondering if any cases that are more slick would fit these kind of saxophones. I just got my Conn alto Ladyface, and my Jakob Winter case doesn't seem to do the deal anymore. I've seen that you recomend ProTec cases, but i find them not as beautiful as hardcases ( I know vanity...:p). So if you could point me in the direction of a hardcase that would fit my sax i would be delighted.

Thank you !
