Did some initial searches but not finding this question being answered.

What cases will work with a vintage left hand bell key alto and tenor?

SKB Pro shaped case (the one with the nylon bag on the outside) fits my Conn 10M perfectly. I like the little slot for the neck rather than putting it in a bag.

I have a rectangular ProTec, and a shaped ProTec, and they fit my Conn 6M and my Martin Handcraft Committee perfectly.

Buescher 400s and Kings may be more difficult to fit.

I totally forgot I had an SKB Tenor Model 140 in the attic and my Kohlert fit great. Thanks guys!

Hiscox are probably about as protective as anything out there. I've had mine for nearly 10 years at it's in great shape. The only thing is that I find that they can be a little irritating to carry around on public transport because of the single shoulder strap. If you're just putting the horn in the car and carrying it to the venue, this won't annoy you, but it can be irritating on a crowded train.

If I need to fly, I'll use my Hiscox, but these days I'm mostly using a Bam Classic. It fits my tenor Aristocrat and 10m. And it's available in green.

I've been using a BAM Cabine for tenor with right side bell keys but even though it will fit I am not entirely sure its not bending rods. The SKB without the outside pocket is a very good fit.

I tried my horns in a Cabine and it definitely felt too tight and like it was pressing on the rods and key guard too tight. This isn't an issue with the Classic, though.

For what it's worth, I just tried fitting my Conn 10m into a ProTec XL contoured and I'm not happy with it. I'd prefer a rectangular case but not really seeing anything that is known to fit. The XL is supposed to fit the 10m and it does have room for the larger diameter bell but there's so much padding on the bottom half of the case the horn rests enitrely on the bell key guards and the low C sharp rod. It seems that it was designed specifically for a RH bell key horn, not a LH horn like the 10m.

My Kohlert alto and tenor with left hand bell keys fit perfectly in an SKB. It also fit in a BAM Cabine.

For a cheaper option, I can verify that the Conn-Selmer model 50745 fits my King Cleveland tenor great!
I have a Conn 10m with LH bell keys and I can't seem to get reliable information from manufacturers or retailers on this topic. Can you describe at all what supports the horn as it rests in the case? does anything touch the bell key guards or bell key rods? What does the padding in the lid touch when closed? Thanks much!

Unfortunately, I sold that case with another sax so can't take a close look at it.

I dunno, and it's buried in the garage right now, but I certainly remember having no concerns. Heck, for $125 or whatever, if you buy it you can always stuff a piece of foam rubber in any place that worries you.

OK, thanks. Yeah I know what you mean about adding foam. My main concern is too much padding in the wrong places. I guess that could be modified too although it might be harder to make it look nice after. Seems like it would be frustrating to have to tear into a new case, but maybe I have to adjust my expectations.
