The case for my Martin Typewriter Alto 964xx has gone to pieces, and with the key caps positioned on both sides of the bell, I'm having trouble finding a suitable replacement. Any recommendations???

Your best bet would probably be a Hiscox. They tend to fit opposed saxes with opposed bell keys.

I have Pro-Tec shaped cases for three altos (each with different positioned bell pads, including the vintage split bell pad design) and all of my altos fit in the Pro-Tecs just fine. DAVE

The protec contoured whould work fine. If you need a nice original Typewriter case, I should have one.

Nope. These are just for storage and show. They fit well but the padding is minimal and the latches are not real secure. Not due to age, just the way they were made. Get the Protec.

Hello!

I know this is a very old topic but I was wondering which case you chose and if it worked well for the Typewriter alto?

I am currently looking for a hard-shell case for mine, one that can be carried as a backpack and I am a bit at loss at the abundance of possibilities.
