Thread title explains.

Crazy. I frequent about 6 or 7 different internet fora and this one is the buggiest by many orders of magnitude.

My previous attempt to post this (five minutes ago) vanished into the luminiferous aethyr, so I'm resubmitting.

I know no one will do anything except ask me what browser etc. I'm using and then tell me the problem's at my side; I wonder why I even bother.

But it will be useful to know the browser. And also important, is it all videos or just some.

If just some, please give an example of one that is causing an issue

What happens when you try and see the video? Is there an error message?

Nothing. The link to the video shows as a big black box in the message thread. There is nothing to click on (no play arrow) and no hyperlink to the site.

If I am not logged in, the link to the video shows a preview still frame, with a "play" arrow in the middle, and if I click on the arrow the video plays.

it may be a regional issue with copyright , you tube does this thing, some thing with ad blockers, recently youtube has declared war to those who don’t want to be bombarded with ads

It wouldn't be 100%, nor would the problem go away when I log out, if it were about copyrights.

I'm still happy to try and troubleshoot this (and have been) , but I asked you for some recent example of videos that aren't working and browser details. (I'm aware it may not be the browser but this is phase 1 / triage of troubleshooting.

Or maybe I am on your ignore list?

Windows 10, Internet Explorer.

As examples, every video that has the preview frame in the thread behaves this way. In all threads. The videos you posted above in this thread behave this way.
