Between a Selmer Modele 22 and a Yamaha 82Z?

Post which one you think is which! And sorry about not being a very good/consistent player, there are some timing discrepencies with the recordings, i was going from memory for a song I will be playing in early august. This is just the chorus of Work Song, by Nat Adderley.

I don't have a clue which is which, but V2 sounded just a bit better and fuller, in my opinion, with the V1 version sounding "thinner" if that makes any sense.
That actually makes perfect sense, and those are the words that I used myself. Same reed, mouthpiece, and lig on both of the horns (Morgan Vintage 5 w/ Vandoren Blue Box 3 and Rovner Evo-5)
V2 Sounded much better, rounder and fuller, and you are certainly nearly there with the Adderley tone.

V1 sounded thin and chirrupy.

Hopefully V2 is the 82Z, because I kind of aspire to own one of those :)

BTW, have you tried the Aebersold Adderley book? It has Work Song (at a good fast pace) I love playing along to this one

I know what you mean about the first version, it definitely isn't as good as the second. I actually don't have any Aebersold books, I should probably get some.

EDIT: The discrepancies are even more apparent on the original files, which are about 5 MB.
ianhart, are they both pro horns? I have a selmer sax Tenor but it's not pro
They both sound as good as each other, the first is brighter the second gets a bit woofy in places so maybe I prefer v1. I don't know which is which, I've owned a Modele 22 but not a 82Z (only a YAS62 as far as yamahas go).
Both clips are the same to me in terms of overall sound quality, but you sound a little more comfortable with the second horn. I'm guessing that it's your main one (the 82Z)?
