Played a small concert on Sunday and played "All the Things You Are" accompanied just with an excellent bassist. Listening to the playback, I got closer to Desmond than I ever have to date. While I'm just a button on his shirt, everything just sounded right!
My setup? Cannonball Global Series Big Bell, Yamaha 4C piece and a Rico orange #3 reed. I could never get this close to the sound and style when I had a Balanced Action and an MC Gregory piece. Totally amazed! I will post a sound clip when I figure out how.
