Pete's thread on his "Arizona get together" has sparked an exploratory thread on interest in an "CA/West Coast" get together possibility.

Should there be a CA/West Coast SOTW get together in Pismo Beach?

I'd like to get a measure of those truly interested and willing to travel and spend the necessary dollars to make this happen.

Let me know of interest and suggestions.

Might be due to the fact that Pismo isn't exactly the cheapest place on the West coast to stay? Just a thought.

I knew that was coming! Its cheap for me, I'll just drive home. John Ascuaga's Nugget? Its in Sparks, but you'll dig it. The weather is so nice here in September.

The band I play in now it's not necessary. If I was playing rock or R&B stuff most definitely.

Maybe we could loosely plan something aroung this event:

October 26-28, 2007 - Jubilee By The Sea Jazz Festival
This traditional Dixieland Jazz Festival with it's oceanfront setting, offers a weekend of music, dancing as well as 20 bands from the U.S. and Canada. Great Clam Chowder and Santa Maria Style BBQ.

So far everyone that's shown interest is in the SOCAL area. Perhaps it may make sense to do something closer to that area.
