Does anyone here know how to tell that is truly an R-13. I know the serial number is good but the buffet sight doesn't state whether it is an R-13. I kow I have seen on E-11 the engraving E-11.

You can tell by the tone holes on the E-11 and the R-13 also.

The site (www.buffet-crampon.com) will tell you the model number if you have a serial number. The model number will tell you if it's an R13, though it will not state R13 as the model number. On the same Buffet site, go to the clarinets, click on R13 (or any other model) and click on Specifications. That will give you a breakdown of their model designations for R13's and other models.
