Being a Buffet fan, I thought I knew them all?...

It has the lozenge bell brace of the SDA; teardrop front F and F#; Buffet Crampon Paris France on the bell; Eb/C pinky keys are not SDA ones; older case like an SDA's

So, it's NOT an SDA; S1; S2; 400; Expression

What am I missing? Who recognises it?

It’s a Keilwerth made Buffet. Recognizable from the typical C-Eb keys.

Which model I don’t know but the expression (which I agree this is not) comes close.

This is a Keilwerth SX-90 and the similarities (and small differences) are obvious (to me).

Yes, I looked at the Expression, having had one a few years back...

...but the oval F# vs. round (SX-90) or rectangular (Expression) threw me off course.

Also, they've used your SX-90 low C pinky guard but my Expression bell key guard. Mix and match!

Looks like a full "BC" lozenge bell brace too, rather than the JK/Expression type.

I wonder if it was made in any number, and if it has it's own model name or number?

I think it may have been made from the BC and Keilwerth parts bin by SKY in Taiwan?

The location of the f# tone hole and neck screw looks like an S3.
The engraving on the bell is identical to my S3 prestige, and the body tube looks like the slightly short Buffet style.
It also lookes like an S3 case.
Do you have a serial nr or any closer photos of the neck?
