Buescher was owned by Selmer after 1963. When I was in high school, one of my friends tried out one of these, tenor version, for a week during spring of 1968. He really liked it, but since he already had a Buescher tenor, he couldn't see trading his two-year-old horn for one just like it to have a pickup attached and an amp, so he just miked his tenor when he played at dances. The Selmer VI had this available, as you know, and Conn had something like this, too, as I recall.
