Hello,

I recently purchased a Buescher Elkhart 30a tenor with serial number 56*** from around the 1920s. The pads are sketchy and need to be replaced. I cannot confirm that they are snap-ons. Can anyone guarantee this before I delve deeper into it?

That is not a Snap-On resonator. Do they all look like that?

Thanks for the reponses. All of the other pads have the small, centered pin, but most don't have the large resonator.

The Elkhart horns didn't have Snap-On resonators. I think they came with just rivet pads. The ones in the picture with the large flat resonator are not the original pads. Probably most of them aren't, unless this has been in a closet for 40 years.
