Might be a good idea to slow down and pay some attention to tone and tuning. You're pretty sharp throughout, so it's not intonation, mouthpiece etc. just listening. You've got heaps of technique, but exercising flying fingers isn't going to make those other issues get better.

Wishing you all the best with your new sax. Take your time and use your fine musical instincts.

No I couldn't tell and there are some people who would kill for the sound that the Brillhardt isn't making you happy with. ;) It's not big band piece by today's standards, for sure, but it's a great sound for a small group. I wouldn't diss it so quickly. Maybe put it in the drawer for when you have a small jazz club gig to play.

Do pull it out a bit farther next time. :)

Yeah, good technique too.
