Why don't you try A-992 ?
It is really an excellent horn with dark, warm, rich and sweet sound.
IMO, A-901 with 92 neck won't be better than A-992 in any aspects.
And A-992 will be more like a "vintage" on its sound, feel and intonation...
Try it!
(If you have more $$, A-9937 will be the best choice.)

How does a change in brass alloy improve intonation?

bessiesband, don't expect too much. You might end up disappointed.
