Hey Guys. I've have a Selmer tenor from the 70's, and in the 8 months I've had it, the G sharp has stopped working 3 times now. The strange thing is that all the keys used to make the note work for other notes, but the combination just stops working after a while. Anybody else experience this?

Sticking G# pad? Check also the spring tension on that key.

I've also seen extreme cases where the *pad* is stuck to the tonehole, but the key is still functioning properly.

@Smooth Sop B...

I meant that the pad was no longer attached to the key! Hit the keytouch, key opens as normal, pad remains on tonehole. Nasty "corroded" pad...

Glad to help!
