Hi everybody,
I play a '34 Conn Tranny tenor w. an Otto Link NY 8*, and recently found an absolutely perfect Brilhart Tonalin C.S.B., serial # 169.xxx. I'm thinking of having it opened up, any comments on it's sound characteristics? What about the Tranny/Tonalin combination? Any insight will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks a lot & cheers from Argentina!

That was a common jazz set-up in the late 40s early 50s. Gene Ammons and Paul Quinichette both played Conns w/ tonalins.

I have a Tonalin that I sometimes use for recording. It is quite versitile and focused. Keep your Brilhart, you won't be sorry.
