Hey there everyone,
I was just wondering if my Calsbad Personaline Alto mouthpiece is worth anything. Its a L5 with a gold ring on the end, made in England. I can find information about the piece but cant find any prices. Any idea?

Thanks alot for your reply Thunder Whale.
I've just ordered a new Zagar V series mouthpiece and might be selling the personaline if the Zagar suits me better. At least I could make my money back! cheers !

Theo Wanne's site http://www.theowanne.com/mouthpieces101/Brilhart.php says:

Brilhart England:
The Brilhart Carlsbad mouthpieces were also being manufactured in England at the same time. There were far fewer of these made. Most of them were Tonalin Personaline models. These came standard with a band on the shank and 'made in England' stamped on the side. The band was a VERY good idea as cracking shanks were always a problem for them. It would have been nice if they did that on their American models as well.

I play a Brilhart Personaline Tonalin made in England on my alto. I love the sound and it's got a bit more zing and power since I had it refaced by Ed Pillinger. Very good pieces and if Brilharts are good enough for Maceo, they're fine by me.
