So a couple months back, I purchased a tenor mouthpiece from saxquest that was listed as "Brilhart designed for Bosey and Hawks", but it's completely blank (I trust saxquest's claim). Apparently, it plays with very similar characteristics as the Brilhart Powertone (although I don't know this for sure because I've never heard nor tried a Powertone in my life).

1) Does anyone know anything more about this piece? I always have people ask me what kind of mouthpiece it is, and I always say "oh, Brilhart made it for Bosey & Hawks".

2) Does anyone have any experience with both this piece and a Powertone? If so, what is your opinion on them?

Thanks,
Paul

Being a Brilhart afficionado, I am very interested in hearing more. I have never heard about a Brilhart Powertone. Could it be the Brilhart Level Air ? These had "Designed by Arnold Brilhart" stamped on them.
Is your mouthpiece metal ? Does it look like the Level Air to be seen on Theo Wanne's website ? http://www.theowanne.com/mouthpieces101/Brilhart.php (Last mouthpiece mentioned on this page)

It's a clear mouthpiece. The only info I could find on it was from Dr.Sax:

I'm pretty sure that tenor one is my exact one. I think so because there's a small piece of "roughage" within the chamber, and the tip opening is nearly a .095. I'm guessing it might've made it's way from Dr.Sax to Saxquest somehow, but that's only a guess
