Those are about the brightest that I've played. Alexander Superial come close. For me, Rigotti are slightly darker, but not too much.

Plasticover gets my vote too, which is why I've not used in since the last millenium.

Of the reeds I've used recently... I know LaVoz, Rico Royal, and Rico fall in there somewhere as well...

Bari plastic

Rico Plasticover

Fibracell (when new)

Vandoren Java/V-16

Rigotti Gold

classical Vandoren

Well, just about every reed make has been mentioned here but the one I thought to mention - Hemke.

....Vandoren traditional...
This must be the first time I've heard the Vandoren trad described has a bright reed.

A lot depends on how the reed reacts with the mouthpiece, this is why you have so many different answers.
I used to think of the LaVoz has a bright reed, remembering from my younger days, but I tried some that were given to me a couple of years ago and I found them not that bright. They were hard ones however.

In my experience the V16's are the brightest.

I'll second, or third, Rigotti Gold. Given that every brand will probably be mentioned here, maybe it's best to compare. So, of the reeds I've played most and like, from less bright to brighter, I would list RJS--V16--Rigotti Gold.

In other words, Rigotti Gold is noticeably brighter than V16 in my experience. And RJS is noticeably darker than either of those.

Rico Plasticover and Bari plastic are the two brightest I've played - both much brighter than Java (my main reed on tenor).
