Just thought I would get his name out in the open. He is an EXTREMELY talented young trumpet player, and a member of the Brubeck Institute at University of the Pacific (where I go, and have had the pleasure of seeing him perform live).
He has a CD out now, titled "THIS WAY". I HIGHLY recommend it. If you want a preview of it, it is on iTunes, but he has full versions of some of the songs in his myspace page (http://myspace.com/brianchahley). The two songs from the CD are "Gee, Laila" and "Mollie by Matchlight, Sonia by Sunlight".
The CD features the members of the 2006-2007 Brubeck Institute fellows, with Lucas Pino on Tenor Sax, Glenn Zaleski on Piano, Chris Smith on Bass, Colin Stranahan on Drums, and Brian Chahley on Trumpet.
