So I bought a brand new YTS-82ZB today! Happy days.

However when I looked inside the bell, I immediately noticed that the bell does not sit flush with the bow. I've attached photos as it's a bit hard to describe. But there is a visible lip, where the diameter of the bow is slightly smaller than the diameter of the bell. If you run something along the inside of the horn, it's definitely there.

Is this normal? Or is this a problem that should have been picked up by Yamaha QC?

Looks the same as my YAS-62 and my YTS-875EX. I would say it's normal for a Yamaha.

I have the same on my 62III. Having a close look, that "lip" seems to correspond with the ring around the outside of the horn where the two pieces are joined...looks normal to me. My horn plays great.
BTW: I just had a look at my Selmer La Voix and it looks the same. I wouldn't worry about it.
