Brand new tune and new video! Live in NYC

Hey everyone!

Here's a video of a brand new tune of mine, called "Finally." I think the name really fits, as my mom has been on my case about writing her a tune forever now (I have tunes for my wife, dad, and even couple friends...doh).

This is from a gig last night at Club Bonafide in NYC. It features 3 of my friends killing it in the rhythm section- Billy Test on piano, Ethan O'Reilly on bass, and Anwar Marshall on drums. Once I go through the rest of the videos I'll see if anything else will go online. I hope you enjoy it!

Enjoyed it very much- keep writing!
Always good, Dave! Impressive that it's your tune.....and equally impressive that you get to do this on a regular basis and do it so well!
Sounding very good Dave (as always). Your 'mom' must be proud :).

Thanks! Oh I do...I have a whole bunch of finished tunes that we play all the time, and a ton of other "partial" tunes. My issue is I always have ideas in my head, but never settle on one way to structure the entire tune out, so I end up with lots of pieces here and there.

THanks so much!

Thanks for that! She definitely is, and she loved the tune. (actually told me to cut the tempo down a bit next time, so we'll see how that sounds!)
Listening to it now. Great rhythm section. Now that's a great alto sound! The tune is really happening!

You're on your way.

Edit: Is this a mouthpiece and reed combination you went to a couple of months back?

Whatever it is it's really working, a full alto sound. Lush even in the lows and mid ranges, which makes the highs and altissimo a nice contrast. Loving the player that you have become.

Thanks so much! The only thing I changed (a couple months ago) was I went back to a 3 medium from a 3 soft...same mouthpiece since I was 19, haha.
