Being a new player and not even knowing any sax players to ask I was very fortunate to have found this forum. Even more so to find a group of individuals who are willing to spend their time sharing their insight an experience.
After waiting about 3 months for a Buescher Aristocrat to get overhaulled I traded in my Alpine tennor and bought it. It's not the prettiest horn, nor is it a classic from the golden days of Buescher. I will have to get used to the fingering which has a very different feel than the Alpine but it sounds soooooooo much nicer and will be definitely worth the effort.
So I just wanted to say thanks to all the folks out there who have responded to my various inquiries about Alpines, Shooting Stars, Bueschers, Bundys, mouthpieces, ligatures and cases over the last 4 months.
Thanks!
