Hiya, I've been trying to see what necks might be interesting to me and I've heard nice things from Ryan Devlin, but I also understand that he got his as a gift. Does anyone have any experience playing the shop's necks and can offer some knowledge on the matter? Thanks y'all.

They're pretty solid necks! I've tried a few and they thicken up the sound. It kind of mixed a Conn and a Selmer sound. I haven't tried the new version yet, but I'm excited to do so.

In summary of the other thread, if God were to bestow a saxophone neck upon humankind, it would be the Heritage neck! 🤪🤣

But seriously, it’s an amazing neck! Jeff Coffin knew what he was doing when he selected the Heritage neck and Jack knew what he was doing when he designed it (probably in reverse order of events).

Still playing and digging mine. I switched cases the other day and left the original VI neck out, put it in a drawer. The Heritage neck is still in play, and is now the only one in the case. More room for reeds 😎
Really
So you are very pleased with it !!

As I said elsewhere, it took my horn from good to great. I was seriously considering looking for a top tenor, and selling this one, now I'm not. If I ever do sell it, or more likely, die and leave it to my kid, the neck will go with it.
Wow, you and I had a nearly identical reaction to this neck with different make horns (mine is a Z). I still can't believe the difference a neck made in my evaluation of a saxophone (that already had a functional neck).

Thank you for turning me onto the unlacquered Heritage neck, the voice of my VI improved dramatically through all the registers. Moreover. the S-Series mouthpiece you suggested drastically improved my tonal focus. It's amazing!
Thank you,
Paul
