It's been listed there for awhile... he also has it listed on FB and CL. Gen (the seller) actually came over to my place over a year ago to check out a Mark VI I was selling at the time. Nice and colorful guy. If this is the same horn he brought with him that day (to use as a reference), it is a monster player for sure.

This is his website: https://www.gensax.com/

I think you can see him playing that horn in some of the videos posted there.

Dr G, to your knowledge are the Jubilee and Lovano models similar?
The Lovano is a version of the Jubilee - big bell, silver pearl finish, gold mechanism. I have "heard", but not experienced, that the necks may be slightly different on the Lovano. Guto would know first hand - in fact, I think the one that is for sale was formerly his.

Dr G, I don't think this one I linked to here is the one I owned. I don't recall mine having the LOVANO engraving on the body guard.
When I owned my Lovano, I had two necks, the stock "Lovano" one and a golden 'power' neck that was indeed more bright and powerful. Not sure how either compared to the standard Jubilee.
The Lovano I owned was awesome! I only sold it because I have too many saxes, including another silver plated Borg which I kept (I gave the buyer the choice of either because I thought both were great).

i think tom had two of them at one point. i'm curious if the gold pearl with gold keys is the same as the lovano with a different finish.

there is also jaye's here on the forum

when you had both horns, did you do a physical comparison to see if you could identify any differences between the jubilee and lovano models. i wish i could believe all the marketing, but ...

I didn't really look that closely. Both my Lovano back then, and my Silver plated Jubilee played quite similar to my ears. I only noticed a difference when I swapped the "power" neck onto the Lovano as I said above.

BTW, here is a lousy recording I made of my Lovano on my phone:

Like I said, I think that the only geometrical difference of the Lovano is the neck. I'm not good enough to look at a neck and see a difference of a few thousands of an inch at a particular node.

I had 5 Borgani Jubilee tenors at once, and heard differences among them. I don't know whether one would so easily hear the differences if you couldn't play them back to back. In my experience, there were no bad ones, some were great. I really liked the UL horn, but didn't care for the finish. My favorite sop, tho', is a custom horn with a UL body. Go figure.

g, this is an excerpt from the borg page that you linked to previously ... Superficially similar to other Borgani tenors, the JL series is in fact very different, especially in the distribution of air-flow that is created when one plays the instrument... obviously, some of what one reads on manf's pages is blatant marketing fluff. this statement makes me think that there is some difference between the horns - beyond the neck - although that may be all there is. i know it's superficial, but i really don't like the pearl silver and gold aesthetic.
