There are threads on these horns here if you search. I have only heard good things about Borgani. Some consider them to be modern “grail horns”, partly because they are really good, and partly because they are “hand made in Italy”. Uncommon, exclusive and not super widely available.

Not on a platform where I can easily share links, but there is a substantial thread named “Borg' - Anyone else been assimilated?”.

Hi thanks, just struggling to find out exactly what horn this is. I gather they are worth a considerable chunk of money even second hand.

I own a Borgani Jubilee tenor (Vintage UL)

It's been my main horn for the last few years. To me it's like a Conn with modern keywork. I absolutely love mine.

I have lots of recordings of it as well. It's very flexible and mouthpiece friendly.

Used pricing seems to fluctuate from $2500-$3000 depending.

I've been resisting the assimilation. One turn-off factor is the workmanship quality on these horns (based on the above sources). Also, it's hard to find one available to try.

I have too many already (at least that's what I keep telling myself), but who knows, I might end up selling my other horns if I'm assimilated to the collective (doubtful, not for anything else but because I'm too lazy to do that). :)

That looks like a great deal for a horn with a fresh professional overhaul!

Some of my horns are not exactly shiny anymore with scratches and dings. I was looking at some bare brass horn pictures with patina and not too psyched (I watched a YouTube video on how to remove green spots on a bare brass horn, ughh). As I understand it, the process can't be controlled. Without lacquer, at least I'd like to have some plating.
