Has anyone used a Bois ligature with a Runyon Custom for bari? They look like a really interesting idea, and I know folks like them for sop, alto and tenor, but do they hold the big bari reed okay? Also , should I use a bari lig, or is the custom small enough for a smaller lig? Saxplus shows that this MPC uses the Rovner Alto lig. Is it that small, or is that a mistake at Saxplus? As many have said before, the stock Runyon lig is not the greatest. TIA for any help.

Bois sending me an alto and a tenor for my custom bari

Contacted Bois and they offered to send both an alto and a tenor when I ordered. Just placed the order and will report on which one worked. Is anyone tracking which ligs work with which mouthpieces here anywhere? Should we set up a new thread/board or something? Is there a Wikipedia style board possible on saxontheweb that everyone can edit?

Alto Bois ligature works the best with a Runyon Custom Bari mouthpiece. Who'd a thunk it? The tenor also works, but holds on at the end of the reed. Both sound great, though.
