Rest in power, Bob. He was truly a force of nature. Spent many nights watching the Fringe at the 1369 club in the mid '80's. Sad day.

OMG!
I did many gigs with both Bob and John Lockwood from the Fringe.
Bob was a fantastic guy and obviously an incredible musician. He would play anything and play his *** off in any setting.
When I lived in Boston, I must’ve seen the Fringe well over 50 times, and that was an experience you can’t compare to anything else. It was magical every time I saw them play.
Incredibly sad news.

I just found out today from a close friend of his. Such sad news for the jazz community, he was certainly a hero for many, me included... I think I'll just listen to The Fringe records this week to pay tribute
